A Universal Studios institution is coming to an end.  Universal Studios has announced that “Shrek 4d” will be closing After 17 years, January 10, 2022.  Universal Studios will also be closing the “Shrek’s Ye Olde Souvenir Shoppe”.

The beloved dark ride takes place at the end of the first Shrek movie and follows the adventure of Shrek, Fiona and Donkey as they try to defeat Lord Farquaad.

So Shrek 4D will follow in others such as Terminator 2 3D, Jaws and Back to the Future that are no longer in the Theme Park.  Universal has not mentioned what or if any other attraction will occupy the space.
